Job Agent Autofill: Privacy Policy
Effective October 31, 2026
Job Agent Autofill is a Chrome extension that fills in job application forms with information you save in it. This
policy explains what it stores, where that information goes, and what it never does.
The short version
- Everything you save stays in your own browser. The developer has no servers and receives none of your data.
- Nothing is sent anywhere unless you turn on AI answers with your own API key. Then only what's needed to answer
a form's questions goes to the AI service you chose.
- There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and your data is never sold.
What the extension stores, on your device only
The extension saves the following in your browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your
computer:
- Your profile: name, preferred name, email, phone, street address, city, state, ZIP code,
LinkedIn, GitHub and website links, skills, work authorization and sponsorship answers, start date, salary
expectation, and how you heard about a job.
- Self-identification answers you choose to save for equal-opportunity questions: gender, race,
Hispanic or Latino, veteran status, and disability status.
- Education (schools, degrees, majors, dates, GPAs) and work experience for each
resume.
- Documents you add: resumes, cover letters and transcripts.
- Saved answers to application questions, and AI-written answers kept for the pages they were
written for.
- Application history: for each application you fill, the page address and title, company, role,
time, the resume used, and whether you submitted it. This powers the tracker and applications sheet.
- Settings, including any API keys you enter for Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, or NVIDIA.
Resumes are read on your computer to fill your profile and work experience. Nothing is sent for this unless you
choose to have resumes read by AI in the settings.
When information leaves your device
- To the job application you're filling. When you click Fill, the extension types your saved
information into that page's form, and attaches the documents you picked. The extension never submits a form by
itself. On Workday's review step it offers a Submit button, which submits only when you click it. The employer's
site then handles your application under its own privacy policy.
- To an AI service, only if you set one up. AI answers are optional and off until you add your
own API key. When the extension writes an answer with AI (automatically during a fill if you leave that setting
on, or when you click an AI button), it sends the text of the application page, the questions to answer, your
profile, your saved answers, any notes you wrote for the AI, and your chosen resume. It sends these to the first
service in your chosen order that has a key:
- Google Gemini API (
generativelanguage.googleapis.com)
- Anthropic Claude API (
api.anthropic.com)
- NVIDIA API (
integrate.api.nvidia.com), which receives no resume file
Your self-identification answers (gender, race, Hispanic or Latino, veteran, disability) and questions about them
are never sent to an AI service. If you choose to have resumes read with AI, the resume file or
its text goes to that service too. Each service handles requests under its own terms with your own key. Free tiers
may use what you send to improve their models.
Your API keys are sent only to the service they belong to, to authorize your requests.
What the extension never does
- It does not send your data to the developer, or to anyone other than the job site you're filling and the AI
services you set up.
- It does not sell, rent or share your data, and does not use it for advertising, credit or lending decisions, or
anything other than filling your job applications.
- It does not record your browsing. On application pages it reads the form and notices when you click the form's
Submit button, only to mark that application as submitted in your own history.
Your control
- See and edit everything saved on the extension's "See and edit everything saved" page.
- Delete your profile with Delete profile info, or delete everything with Start over →
Delete everything.
- Remove the extension to delete all of its data from your browser.
